Toolspring requires macOS 26 or later.

Toolspring needs Accessibility, launchd, and cross-process access to observe and control other processes. It is planned as a direct-download app so it can provide that native integration; signed and notarized status is confirmed once the release checklist is complete.

Free is a permanent tier. Pro is a one-time purchase for the current major version.

Up to two supervised targets on one Mac, basic relaunch, hidden launch for GUI apps, pause/resume, menu-bar status, and launch at login.

Unlimited targets plus hang detection, upgrade-aware relaunch, conditions, schedules, notifications, logs, metrics, resource monitoring, CLI/JSON, keep-awake, and more.

A hang is different from a crash: for supported GUI apps, the process is still running but unresponsive. Toolspring can detect it and take the configured recovery action.

It is designed not to: when Toolspring detects an in-flight upgrade, it holds relaunch while the app changes and resumes when the new app settles.

Yes. Pro supports long-running commands and daemons alongside GUI apps, using one supervision model across all three target kinds.

Choose a one-time license for 1, 2, or 3 Macs. After checkout, enter the Polar license key in Toolspring; a recently validated installation can continue offline for up to 7 days.

Yes. Deactivate the old Mac in Polar's customer portal, then activate the new one.

Toolspring does not include cloud sync or remote monitoring. Supervision data stays on your Mac; checkout and support data are handled by Polar and your support contact.

Optionally. Pro can prevent idle sleep while a supported supervised target is running. It does not keep the display awake in every situation or prevent clamshell sleep.
